Solid State Drive, Evolution of Speed and Performance

Solid State Drive

The Premier Pro SP920 solid state drive has sequential read and write speeds of up to 560/460 MB/sec, great for video editing and fast data backups. 4KB random read/write speeds of up to 91,000/77,000 IOPS mean faster system starts, program loads, and great action in the most demanding next-generation games. The Premier Pro Solid State Drive SP920 is available in 128GB, 256GB 512GB and 1TB capacities. The optimized firmware allows for full utilization of the NAND flash chips, resulting in a 7% increase in the usable space of the drive over many other models.

Strict selection of flash memory chips allows for the enhancement of overall system efficiency and speed, especially for the transmission of multimedia files (uncompressed data). While leveraging high-quality NAND flash technology, the Solid State Drive SP920 SSD is backed by a solid 5-year warranty for reliable long-term operation! Some Solid State Drives suffer a performance drop as drive usage nears its capacity in terms of data stored. The SP920 maintains consistently high read and write speeds even when the disk is 90% full.

Q1:My PC can’t detect the SSD. What can I do?

A1:First, check that SSD SATA and power cables are properly seated and secured. The next step is to try the SSD with a different SATA port. If the issue persists, go into the BIOS and check that the SSD device ID is listed in the boot sequence section. Also check that the same device ID is listed in the Windows device manager. If the SSD isn’t listed in either or if the issue continues, it’s advisable to try the same SSD on a different PC to check whether the drive or the system are the source of the issue. If the problem remains after these steps, please contact ADATA support for further assistance.

Q2:Why can't I transfer 4GB or larger files to storage media? Why do I receive a “destination disk drive is full” message when I know there is still space available on the destination disk?

A2:The Windows FAT32 file system supports maximum single file of 4GB only. To resolve this, storage media can be formatted to NTFS.
